   Missouri Pilots Association [820]
Welcome to the Missouri Pilots Association's web page. We were founded in 1953 and have grown into one of the largest non-profit state General Aviation organizations in the country. Our goals are to improve aviation safety, provide educational opportunities, promote a positive image for GA, and to protect and preserve the rights of pilots and owners of aircraft. We have a total of 14 chapters in the 7 districts in the state. Members of MPA have associate membership in the United States Pilots Association (USPA), which shares our same objectives. Our chapters have monthly meetings and plan fly-outs to fun and interesting places. In addition, our Board of Directors meets every month to direct our activities, and we have an annual convention.

Boy Scouts of America - Aviation Explorer's Post 8 (TOP) [1075]
Welcome to the home of Aviation Explorer's Post 8, dedicated to providing the youth of our community exposure to the rewards of aviation careers. Part of the Boy Scouts of America's Explorer Scouting program, Post 8 has been introducing young people to the world of aviation for over 50 years. Young men and women, ages 14-18 learn from real world professionals, what it's like to fly aircraft. They are nurtured through a training regimen that includes a full ground school course, monthly pilot meetings with safety lectures, orientation flights and dual flight instruction, culminating with their passage of the FAA Private Pilot Practical Test. In other words, they become licensed pilots. They learn how to care for the airplane, how to keep it maintained, how to fly it in a professional manner. When finished with our program, they truly are professionals.
